My Journey

I started my fitness career at the age of around four cycling up to ten miles alongside my father, he always pushed me towards becoming a better version of myself both physically and mentally  so it inspired me to want to be better, thus giving me a very competitive streak. Completing six mile fun runs at the age of six, completing a mile swim at ten and then onto feats such  as the Coast to coasts at the age of 10 (50mile days, 3 days).

I'd been dropped in the deep end from a young age and I loved it, so moving on and upwards into my teens, a compentent member of all school teams ,Basketball, Football, Tennis, Cricket, Rugby and Hockey.  All while competing in athletics falling into any category but specialising in 1500m, hurdles, triple jump, 400m for school and 3000m for district at 9m31s.

In college I was part of the basketball academy, with some practises taking place in the gym for strength and conditioning, lasting around one year until going into full time work, concentrating on my cycling, running and starting to dabble into the world of weights, (good times). With that I started to grow fitter, stronger and have a more power and ideas for how I could be training and correcting my technique for the future. 

With gained strength, speed and stamina I decided to get back into something competitive using the whole body and mind, also still weight training,  this lead to me joining a local boxing gym and taking classes in mixed martial arts, boxing, and the odd muay thai class, so after around a year of training I decided to put myself forward for my first event competing in ametuer MMA. Now I've done almost every sport and nothing has come close to the way body and mind can be controlled and taught, to reserve, to be patient,to reset, to fall, to accept defeat and come back stronger with a clear head for the actions to come.

This is when I knew it was finally time for me to pursue a career in the fitness industry, so forth I put myself into night school to gain my level 2 gym instructors certificate, level 3 personal trainer certificate, my NPLQ Lifeguard certificate followed by my kettlebell, suspension and foam roller certificates. 

With my vast knowledge into many different sports and training aspects, together we can achieve improved technique, strength, speed and power all while staying supple and promoting a healthy lifestyle. With a keen eye to help, motivate and coach people of any standard there is nothing we can't  achieve.
