Rachel Nichols - Personal Training

Goals can be very hard to achieve by ourselves, and we often lose focus on what we really want. Whether thats general fitness, weightloss, sport specific, cycling, running to body building... we all need the support and guidance to help get us to our end result. We are all human. There is not one person on this planet that knows exactly what they're doing, and doesn't need someone to speak to at some point to help keep them motivated and on track.

So before we start, I'll tell you abit about myself. My experience and what led me into loving helping people achieve their fitness goals...

My Fitness Journey

My journey started from a very young age. I was always into sports at school... cross country, netball, hockey and rounders. At the age of 9 I found my love for dance and performing arts where I really found something specific that I could dedicate my time to. It helped me to grow, develop and learn what It really felt like to be part of a team and work with others to be the best we could be. As I got older I began to attend the local gym and really loved the idea of one day teaching a room full of people, how to dance, be happy and burn calories all at the same time. From here my main focus was to achieve my Level 2 Fitness Instructing and later on receive a qualification in ZUMBA. I have now been a ZUMBA teacher for 3 years and my love for dance and fitness will be forever a part of my career. Slowly over the years I have gained qualifications and experience in Personal Training, ZUMBA, Boxing, Indoor Cycling, Aerobics and Yoga , so that I could really work with my clients and give them absolutely anything that they wanted, and help them achieve the best they could possibly be.

'What doesn't challenge you won't change you'

Recently, I knew I had to experience something very difficult to help me understand the ins and outs of fitness and nutrition and put myself to the test to change my body. This is where I decided to compete in Women's Body Building, and took on the challenge of a Bikini Competitor. I have always been very disciplined, organised and mind driven so I knew that this would be a very good challenge for myself, to test my limits even further and use them to compete against others. I wanted to learn how to manipulate nutrition, work on different training methods to sculpt and change my body exactly how I wanted it to be. I have so far competed in two Competitions and have received two 1st place trophies and one 3rd place and will be competing on October 6th in UK Ultimate Physiques at York University. Competing became so natural for me. Mixing fitness and stage performance together was combining the two things I loved the most into one and has from now on become a huge part of my life and fitness journey. It helped me to develop my knowledge in all areas of fitness, learn how to properly track nutrition and what foods you can and can't have according to your goal, and most of all learn how to love yourself both inside and out. We are all very different, shapes, sizes, mechanisms... its about using what you got given and manipulating it to the exact way we want. It also taught me that there is no such thing as perfection. There is always something to work on, but what matters the most is that you feel happy and confident both inside and out. It doesn't matter if you're not the best, fitness isn't a competition with everyone, only yourself. And that is what I really love about fitness. The hard work is purely all down to you on how far you push yourself, and thats what I want others to understand. To be healthy, happy and comfortable within themselves, to go ahead and do anything they want to do.

So how can I help you?

We all want to feel amazing right? Both physically and mentally. Fitness goals are not just physically demanding but also can effect our mentality. Thats why not only will I help you achieve your goals in the gym but also give you the support out of the gym via Mobile or Email. Throughout your journey and after I will not only be here as a Personal Trainer but also a friend, to help you every step of the way. Together we will change your lifestyle and make you a happier and better you.

You will receive help with both fitness and nutrition so that you receive the full package to achieve your goals, and each session that we do will be recorded, written down so that you can come into the studio in your spare time and use the facilities as much as you like.

So what do you want to achieve?

We all go by day by day, saying we will start tomorrow... or wish we could achieve something but not really sure how. Take a moment now to really think about what you want to achieve... what you're not happy about... and what you need to do to get there.

Any goal that has come into your head I will help you achieve and try my best to get you to your end result. I will not only invest my experience but also my time to help you be the ultimate best you can be.

And that is what makes Personal Training so great. Your goals not only become yours but mine aswell. I love seeing my clients achieve their best and how happy it makes them when they do so. With small steps and by working together we will get you exactly where you want to be.
